Choosing your first streetboard can feel overwhelming — there are different sizes, styles, and setups to consider. As someone who has ridden hundreds of boards over a 20+ year career, I'm here to make it simple. Here's what to look for.
New vs Second-Hand
If you're on a budget or just want to try the sport before committing, a quality second-hand board is a great option. Our 2nd hand streetboard collection features inspected boards in good condition at accessible prices. If you're ready to invest in something fresh, our new streetboard range has you covered.

Board Size
Streetboards typically come in small (S), medium (M), and large (L) sizes. As a general rule: smaller boards are more responsive and better for tricks, while larger boards offer more stability and are great for beginners or taller riders. If you're unsure, go for a medium — it's the most versatile.
Wheels
Wheel hardness (measured in 'a') affects how the board rides. Softer wheels (lower 'a') absorb bumps better and are great for street riding. Harder wheels (higher 'a') are faster and better for smooth surfaces and tricks. Most beginner setups come with a good all-round wheel.

Bearings
Good bearings make a big difference to how smoothly your board rolls. ABEC7 bearings are a solid choice for most riders — we stock both standard and ceramic options in our accessories collection.
